Within the activities of the Department of Sociology and Social work that aimed to communicate with the local community, the Department of Sociology and Social work held a workshop entitled " Bullying and its impact on the student and family “, in cooperation with the Murbah Girls School. During this, Dr. Faisal Ibrahim Al-Matalka gave a lecture entitled “Bullying and its impact on the student and family”. In his intervention related to the same topic, Dr. Ramadan Ismail explained the role of the social counselor in the prevention and treatment of bullying”. From her side, Dr. Asmaa Ahmed explained the dangers of cyberbullying and how to prevent it. The workshop was held on Wednesday, November 16, 2020, from ten o'clock to twelve o'clock in the afternoon. The students presented a range of cultural and recreational activities, which won the admiration of all . The academic advisor Maryam Rabia and a group of teachers at the school welcomed everyone and praised this activity and the desire to consolidate relations and hold more lectures, workshops, and joint volunteer work. Dr. Faisal Matalka, the coordinator of the Sociology and Social Work Program, expressed his thanks and gratitude to the school administration and all the staff for the warm reception and hospitality and presented a certificate of thanks on behalf of the university to Ms. Safia Al Matroushi, the school principal, and to the academic advisor, Maryam Rabia, for their efforts in making the workshop a success.
