Dental Internship Program

 About the program

The dental internship program is a one-year training program designed to provide dental graduates with the clinical competency and, scientific knowledge required to prepare them for the next level of their career.

 Program Framework

-  The program is composed of Eight Clinical Rotations (Seven mandatory rotations and One elective)

-There will be Forty (40) training hours per week which include Eight (8) hours of knowledge activity such as didactic sessions, research activities, journal clubs, case presentations etc..

-Clinical training will involve all the clinical specialties following the concept of four handed dentistry

-Extra clinical hours may be added upon the recommendation of the Clinical Competency Committee

-In all circumstances, the total duty hours (Clinical and educational) cannot exceed 80 hours per week averaged over 4 weeks period.

Eligibility for Admission 

  • Degree in dentistry (BDS, DDS DMD) from a recognized College of Dentistry by the Ministry of Education in United Arab Emirates
  • Applicants with a degree awarded outside the UAE must provide an undergraduate certificate and transcript fully attested by the country of issuing and the ministry of foreign affairs in UAE.
  • Applicants with a degree awarded outside the UAE must obtain an equalization certificate from the Ministry of Education in UAE.
  • The selection of the eligible applicants is based on the CGPA and personal interview

   Documents Required

  • Completed Application Form
  • A fully attested copy of the successful completion of an approved dental education program (Degree certificate). The originals should also be produced for comparison.
  • Passport copy with the UAE residence page.
  • One personal photograph

·         English Proficiency test

·         Hepatitis B immunization certificate and valid BLS certificate

·         Malpractice insurance

·         Internship License

 Program Fees

  • The Registration fee: is 1050 AED (including VAT)-  Non refundable
  • The training fee of AED 48,825 AED (including VAT) to be paid in 4 installments.
