Summary

·The workshop was conducted by Prof. Ali Abouelnour, USTF Chancellor, in presence of college deans, faculty members, administrative staff, and representatives of university service units.

·The purpose of the workshop was to explain the MoE Compliance Report send to the University, word-to-word, and ensure that each of the task-force member is aware of his assigned role in preparation of USTF response to the Ministry report on time.

·Meeting will continue throughout next week until the final report is prepared and sent out to the Ministry.

·Both exist exams and exit meetings are measurement tools for the level of achievement of the program learning outcomes by graduating students.

·Either exist exams or exit meetings help the University in defining the strengths and weaknesses of the academic program it offers. Both or either of the two measures help directing the University toward promoting strengths and overcoming weaknesses. As graduating student must pass the exit exam, which is better the exam or the meeting? Attend a listen to the answer from the presenter’s point of view

·As Prof. Ali Abouelnour, USTF Chancellor, always mentions, the online teaching and learning has started to remain in the future. Therefore, and based of the CAA direction, USTF must decide which courses can be permanently taught online, without compromising quality.

·Dr. Haytham Elmessiry, Coordinator of USTF IT programs in the College of Engineering and Technology, will present a seminar on the feasibility of teaching selected USTF courses, General Education courses for example, through synchronous online teaching mode.

·  The seminar aims at highlighting the applications of Artificial Intelligence in improvement of machinery and practices in the medical field to the level of error-free system. This ensures provision of the highest possible medical services assures quality of the health care systems.

·Each of exam-type questions has its advantages and disadvantages in assessment of the students’ understanding of the course materials.

· Prof. Ahmed Elshafey, Coordinator of the BA in Psychology Program, shall present this seminar, assessing each-exam type questions, in terms of their advantages and disadvantages as assessment tools. Prof. Elshafey shall provide the combination of exam-question types which represent a good combination in assessing the course learning outcomes (CLOs) from his viewpoint.

§ They mostly suffer from lack of confidence, social, financial, or psychological problems

·     Formation of colleges advisory committees is one of the 2019 CAA Standards, according to which in planning and development academic programs, members of external advisory committees or industry representatives for each field or program, as appropriate, are involved in the periodic review of curricula.

·     According to the CAA, the advisory committees help in incorporates the needs of employers and professional bodies in its curriculum development process to contribute to local economic growth and to society. The advisory committees may also provide input on the availability of internships and opportunities for practical experience and advise on career pathways. The institution assesses the effectiveness of its advisory committees.

· The semester-based progress program effectiveness reports and the annual final program effectiveness reports represent valuable tools for identification of the level of achievements of course and program learning outcomes throughout the University.

· Ms. Einas Awad, Supervisor of the Office of Institutional Planning and Effectiveness (OIPE), shall present a seminar on how to close the quality assurance loop of USTF programs, based on assessment reports submitted by program coordinators to the OIPE at USTF.
