A voluntary & scientific visit to the Wadi Al-Wurayah Nature Reserve
Within the activities of the Department of Sociology and Social work related to communication with the local community, a group of female students of the Department of Sociology and Social Service, under the supervision of Dr. Faisal Matalka, made a voluntary & scientific visit to the Wadi Al-Wurayah Nature Reserve, on Saturday 27/11/2021. Where everyone listened to a scientific lecture presented by the director of the reserve, and then carried out volunteer environmental work, which was represented by a clean-up campaign in the area designated by the workers in the reserve, and then there was a walk through the valley towards the waterfall and back to the reserve center. Dr. El-Sayed and Dr. Ramadan from the Department of Sociology and Social work participated in this activity.
Dr. Faisal Matalka and the students presented the director of the reserve, Dr. Ali Al-Hamoud, and all the workers with thanks and appreciation. A certificate of thanks was presented on behalf of the university to the director of the Fujairah Environment Authority and an environmental plaque was submitted by the students to the reserve.
