College of Humanities and Sciences - Participation in the Environmental Public Speaking Competition 2023

Students of the College of Humanities and Sciences participate in the 23rd session of the Environmental Public Speaking Competition between colleges and universities, which was held by the Emirates Environment Working Group on Monday 11/20/2023. The competition included a group of topics and with the participation of more than forty specialized universities and colleges, where the students participated in the topic Environmental policies and regulations through a presentation on the role of the media in raising awareness of the risks surrounding the environment and their impact on human life on planet Earth, how to preserve the environment and the impact of the environment on the psychological dimensions of humans - and the extent of application of environmental policies and regulations at the people level to maintain a clean environment. The competition addressed through The participants presented their presentations on learning about the role of institutions and societies in finding solutions to environmental problems. Students participated in it - Ahmed Muhammad Ali Al-Yamahi and Safiya Othman from the Media Department - and Reem Al-Dahmani from the Psychology Department - and Juma Al-Balushi - Nayef Saeed from the Sociology Department - under the supervision of Dr. Khaled Khalafallah Suleiman. .
This participation by the University of Science and Technology in Fujairah, represented by the College of Humanities and Sciences, confirms its great interest in enhancing ways to organize and manage waste, pollution, and natural resources, and achieving sustainable production and consumption. To preserve natural resources for the current and future generations.
