Fujairah University of Science and Technology celebrates the 53rd anniversary of the UAE National Day
Under the patronage and attendance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Fujairah University of Science and Technology, the university celebrated the 53rd anniversary of the National Day on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.
In his speech at the celebrations, the University President, Professor Ali Abu Al Nour, thanked His Highness the Crown Prince, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, His Highness the Sheikhs, the members of the Board of Trustees, and the guests in attendance for participating in the university’s celebrations of the 53rd anniversary of the National Day and the start of the comprehensive renaissance of the Emirates, which was led by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God have mercy on him, with his brothers from the founding fathers. The University President also extended his congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council of the Union and Ruler of Fujairah, on the 50th anniversary of his assumption of power and his inspiring leadership of the Emirate of Fujairah, which witnessed during his reign a comprehensive renaissance and a remarkable presence regionally, Arab and internationally, and an impressive development in keeping pace with modernity, building the human being, adopting science in plans and projects, and preserving ethics, values and authenticity as guarantees for the sustainability of development. The University President pointed out what the University has achieved under the leadership of His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah in terms of academic status by offering distinguished programs in postgraduate studies, undergraduate studies and vocational education, and a practical status by accrediting the University's training centers for dentists and continuing education. The University has also adopted initiatives that support the research of university students and school students with the participation of thousands of them to enable them as today's youth to participate in making tomorrow. The University has distinguished itself in community participation by providing free treatment at the University's dental clinics for more than thirty thousand cases, and the University has hosted the Fujairah Emirates Hackathon during the month of innovation every year with the participation of all segments of society. In international cooperation, the university has concluded more than forty local, Arab and international agreements to achieve the visions and goals of the university and its partners. The university's alumni association was also launched to enhance communication between the university and its graduates, support their professional development and create a professional network that works for the benefit of the university, its students and graduates and develops a spirit of loyalty and belonging to the university and its community.
