As part of its continuous efforts to consolidate its relations with governmental and private community institutions, and to enhance communication with partners to achieve its social responsibility, the University of Science and Technology in Fujairah hosted the " Guidance Stations " initiative in cooperation with the Department of Family Development Centers in Khorfakkan, one of the institutions of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, on Sunday 14 March 2021, as the initiative aimed at educating university students about the services of family development centers, as part of the activities of the " the Home the Family " campaign organized by the Department of Family Development Centers under the slogan "The family is safety .. Sultan wants it", where the social worker A / Dhekra Al-Mansouri gave an introductory presentation about the services provided by family development centers, and some websites for self-development, as well as excerpts from a group of educational books in the field of family and parenting were shown, and she instructed students on the importance and benefit of downloading and reading these books.
At the end of the meeting, Dr. Amani Hamzah and Dr. Asma Ahmed, who are supervising the initiative, gave a closing speech in which they thanked the work team in charge of implementing the initiative, and emphasized the importance of family counseling for members of society in general and university students in particular, as they are among the group of young people about to get married. And those who need the knowledge, experience and skills necessary to form a successful and stable marital and family life .They also emphasized the importance of the role of family counseling in raising the level of community awareness in the field of family relations, promoting methods of proper parental treatment and helping families overcome any problems that may hinder their psychological and social compatibility.
