As part of promoting the values of social solidarity and volunteerism, a group of students from the Psychology Program at Fujairah University, in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Sayed El-Wakeel, Professor of Psychology at the university, organized a volunteer campaign titled Iftar for a Fasting Person – Join Us in Doing Good on Friday, March 7. The campaign aimed to provide Iftar meals to fasting individuals, foster a spirit of cooperation and generosity within the community, enhance the culture of volunteer work among students, instill values of giving and compassion, and encourage students to participate in charitable and community activities. The campaign commenced in the evening of Thursday, March 7, with meal distributions at various locations, including traffic intersections. Many students participated in the distribution, ensuring the success of the event and timely delivery of meals to beneficiaries. The campaign was conducted in accordance with safety, health, and security measures. The initiative was widely appreciated by beneficiaries, and the participating students expressed their joy in being part of an experience that strengthened their sense of social responsibility. The Iftar for a Fasting Person – Join Us in Doing Good campaign reflected the spirit of cooperation and social solidarity, proving that volunteer work is a fundamental pillar in building a cohesive society. It also helped reinforce humanitarian values among students, encouraging them to continue participating in similar initiatives in the future.
