Introduction to Clinical Pharmacist role for GEMS Winchester School – Fujairah students
As a part of Career Orientation Week at GEMS Winchester Fujairah, Ph. Tarek Shahin presented an orientation session about Clinical Pharmacy knowledge and practice.
The session was attended by Grade 12 and Grade 11 students in addition to school supervisors who participate actively during the session and the following discussions.
During the session, Tarek elaborated on the profound meaning of Pharmacy and Pharmacist in addition to overviewing the history of pharmacy career development and its roots. The session's focal point was about the Clinical Pharmacy profession and its role in the healthcare system improvement.
Tarek also elaborated on the comprehensive pharmaceutical care model as well as the responsibilities shouldered by a clinical pharmacist in their healthcare facilities.
At the end of the session, the discussions were enriched by the broad knowledge of the school's students which helped them to get a closer overview of the pharmacy and a field of study and clinical pharmacist and a future career.
