In a new step towards a future of excellency, the College of Architecture, Art and Design at the USTF secured the second award among the UAE's universities in the competition organized by JK Cement to create giant exterior designs on the factory silos.
In addition to the participation of the USTF, a number of prestigious universities took part in that competition, including Abu Dhabi University, American University of Dubai, American University of Sharjah, University of Sharjah and UAE University. The contest lasted for one month in which the contestants visited the factory to learn about the nature of the work and then to unleash their artistic creations. A panel of experts from various architectural and design sectors conducted a scoring system, which concluded with the announcement of the result at the Grand Ceremony at the Sofitel Dubai Hotel, attended by senior officials of JK Cement, represented by HE Amit Kothari, Executive Director. The ceremony was also attended by Engineer Ali Qassem, Director General of Fujairah Natural Resources Foundation. HE Prof. Ali Abu Al-Nour, Chancellor of USTF, praised the efforts of the team of the College of Architecture, Art and Design, especially the participating students, Aisha Khalifa, Iman Mohammed, Mitha Hilal, and Tief Seif, who have been able to achieve this achievement in a short time and under the supervision of faculty members H.E. Dr. Mohsen Al-Fadl Acting Dean and Dr. Ola Sama.
