The University of Science and Technology in Fujairah successfully concluded its annual "PlayStation" championship, held from October 2 to 4, 2023.The tournament featured the participation of 24 players representing various colleges within the university.Throughout the competition, the players displayed excellent and strong performances. In the final match, student Ghayth Abdullah from the College of Engineering emerged victorious,securing the first-place position after defeating his skilled opponent, student Mohamed Hazem from the College of Sila, who secured the second-place position. Meanwhile, student Ahmed Mohamed Qadura from the College of Engineeringclaimed the third-place position.The winners of the top positions were honored at an award ceremony attended by Dr. Malham Aldouri, Dean of the College of Engineering, and Dr. Sameh Khamees, Director of Admissions and Registration,along with Ramzi Ghanim, the sports supervisor, and a large gathering of faculty and students.Dr. Ali Abuelnour, the university's director, praised the great success achieved by the championship and emphasized the high level of sportsmanship and skills exhibited by the students.He reaffirmed the university's commitment to enhancing sports, social, and recreational activities to enrich the student experience and make the university an ideal place for both education and leisure.This tournament is one of the events contributing to the promotion of social and sports interaction among students at the University of Science and Technology in Fujairah,highlighting the dedication and effort students put into developing their skills and competing in university-level tournaments.
