Red Crescent Comprehensive Health Campaign 2021
The Red Crescent Authority has prepared its comprehensive health campaign at Dibba Exhibition Center for the period 4-6 November 2021. Within the framework of the existing cooperation between the Emirates Red Crescent and the University of Science and Technology of Fujairah for the success of charitable work and under the guidance of Professor Dr. Ali Abou Elnour, Director of the University, the College of Pharmacy and the College of Dentistry participated in the comprehensive health campaign during the relevant period.
The participation of the College of Pharmacy under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sumaya Sir Al-Khatm (Dean of the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences) has resulted in spreading health awareness among visitors by raising awareness of the importance of medicinal plants and their therapeutic role in an attempt to reduce the use of medicines and their side effects. The participation was also accompanied by public awareness of antibiotic resistance and its impact on weakening immunity in the future when treating and that the use of antibiotics should be under full medical supervision.
The efforts of the College of Dentistry under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Tamer Abdel Bari (Dean of the College of Dentistry) have also resulted in spreading awareness about oral health and ways to preserve it. In addition to educating and encouraging children of different age groups about the correct use of toothbrushes and pastes and their importance in preserving their teeth, through their participation in encouraging children to color pictures and motivating them.
At the end of the campaign, the Emirates Red Crescent Authority honored the University of Science and Technology of Fujairah for its effective participation in spreading comprehensive health awareness among the public.
