Smartphone photography Workshop

The College of Architecture, Art, and Design – Interior Design Department has organized an online two session workshop under the title of “Smartphone Photography” which was presented by Prof. Ahmed Belal, Professor in the Scientific College of Design. The workshop aimed to provide the participants with a creative experience on how to use their smartphones to snap creative and well taken photographs, how to edit them and present them. The first session was conducted on Monday, 28th of September, where the participants received an informational lecture as an introduction to Photography, editing on “Snapseed” and using “Canva” as a tool to present and write on pictures. The second session was performed a week later Monday, 5th of October. The participants were asked to use the data they received as a guide to implement and snap 3 photographs using their smartphone, edit them and present them in session 2 to discuss their outcome. Both sessions took place online through distance and 15 participants attended session 1 while 8 participants attended and
presented their work in session 2. The attendees included USTF affiliates and external universities students.
