The College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences (COPHS) participated in the First International Conference for Pharmacy Students (ICPS-1) held at the University of Sharjah, UAE. The conference was conducted under the theme of "Promoting Sustainability in Pharmacy," with an aim to explore new avenues in pharmacy sciences and practice through the works and research of students in the fields of pharmaceutical science and pharmacy practice.
Students from COPHS presented five scientific posters that aligned with the conference objectives. During the conference, Sohair Mahmoud Moussa presented a poster titled "Self-medications with antibiotics in Fujairah, UAE," supervised by Prof. Yaser Al-Worafi. The poster won the First Place Award in the Student Scientific Poster category among the nine participating Colleges of Pharmacy in the UAE.
The College of Pharmacy was also honored for its participation in the event. Her Excellency, Prof. Sumia Sir Elkhatim, Dean of the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, expressed her gratitude and happiness towards the college students for their representation at the conference. She also wished them continued success in the future.
