Fujairah University Welcomes the Khalifa Award for Education Delegation for Project Evaluation
On Wednesday, February 26, 2025, Fujairah University welcomed a delegation from the Khalifa Award for Education for a field visit to evaluate its distinguished project, "Empowering School Students for Lifelong Learning through Scientific Research." The evaluation falls under the Institutions Category in the Field of Education and Community Service as one of the shortlisted projects for the final interviews of the award. The Khalifa Award for Education aims to honor pioneering initiatives in education and community service, encouraging educational institutions to adopt strategies that enhance learning quality and innovation.
During the visit, the award team met with the project implementation team, which includes Prof. Dr. Ali Abu Al-Nour, Dr. Yumna Shaker, Eng. Moamen Ouda, and Eng. Lamia Hussein. The university team presented the project's significance and key objectives, focusing on developing students' research skills and enhancing their ability for continuous learning, in alignment with the knowledge era’s demands. The presentation highlighted the project’s outcomes, which include innovative initiatives to support students in developing research projects that foster creativity and investigative skills. Additionally, the team outlined the planning and implementation stages, methods for measuring outcomes, and the future strategy to expand its impact and community benefits.
At the conclusion of the visit, the delegation met with H.E. Dr. Suleiman Al Jassim, Director of Fujairah University, who emphasized the importance of the university’s participation in such initiatives. He highlighted that these projects reflect the university’s mission and commitment to education and community service, reinforcing its role as a leading academic institution dedicated to empowering future generations with research and lifelong learning skills.
