The UAE HACKATHON 5.0 Closing Ceremony

In the presence of H.E. Hessa Bint Essa Buhmaid, Cabinet Member, Minister of Community Development, and H.E. Eng. Majed Sultan AlMesmar, Director General of the Telecommunications and Digital Regulatory Authority - TDRA. University of Science and Technology of Fujairah (USTF) honored to be invited from Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority to attend the closing ceremony of the fifth edition of UAE HACKATHON in Dubai on 7th of March 2022.

 In this year’s edition of the UAE HACKATHON, USTF participated with more than 13 teams from multidisciplinary backgrounds among all USTF colleges to enrich each project from all aspects resembling real-life practice. The participating teams represent USTF’s community students, employees, and USTF’s alumni.

 Teams from the University of Science and Technology of Fujairah were qualified to the final stage of the UAE HACKATHON 5.0, including “Team 2071” and “Team HTTPS” from the College of Dentistry represented by Mohamed Mansour, “Team one small step best for man” from the College Of Engineering and Technology, represented by Eng. Muna Dahir, Eng. Lamya Khalid and Eng. Momen Odeh, and “Team Tranquilizers” from Alumni of the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, represented by Ph. Ahed Maysara and Ph. Nour Ghassan were classed as the top 10 innovations in the United Arab Emirates under the startup track.

 In addition, the grand winners of the UAE HACKATHON 4.0 from last year, “The CommunoHealth App Team” represented by Sarah Al Yammahi, Shahed Maysara and Alya Abdulrahim from the college of pharmacy were invited to share their experience and progress after the great accomplishment.

 The invited teams got the exciting chance to exhibit their ideas in the presence of H.E. Hessa Bint Essa Buhmaid, Cabinet Member, Minister of Community Development and H.E. Eng. Majed Sultan AlMesmar, Director General of the Telecommunications and Digital Regulatory Authority - TDRA.

 The university was also honored by the Telecommunications and Digital Regulatory Authority – TDRA and the UAE Hackathon organizing team for being main partner and amongst the top supporters of this annual national competition, whereby students from the university never fail to impress each year with their outstanding innovations.
