The University of Science and Technology in Fujairah conducts two workshops at the Fujairah Islamic Academy.

In line with the role of the University of Science and Technology in Fujairah in serving the community and enhancing cooperation between the university and schools, Professor Dr. Sayed Ahmed Al-Wakeel, Professor of Clinical Psychology in the College of Humanities and Sciences at the University of Science and Technology in Fujairah, conducted two workshops At Fujairah Islamic Academy: In the first workshop, Professor Sayed Ahmed Al-Wakeel, delivered a training program aimed at raising awareness about the importance of stress management in achieving mental health. The program also sought to provide scientific support to the academic and local community through scientifically based programs that address individuals' needs and help them face daily life challenges.
The workshop covered several key areas, including an introduction to the concept of psychological stress and its causes, as well as an explanation of different types of stress, such as academic, social, and economic pressures. Dr. Al-Wakeel presented various practical strategies and training techniques for dealing with stress, including effective planning and time management, prioritization, along with relaxation exercises and deep breathing techniques.
The workshop was an opportunity for participants to share their experiences with stress and learn from one another. It received significant engagement from the attendees, many of whom expressed their appreciation for the provided content and the useful techniques they learned. They affirmed their desire to apply these strategies in their daily lives.
The Second Workshop titled "Study Strategies and Overcoming Test Anxiety," aimed to enhance students' abilities to study effectively and manage test anxiety, ensuring academic success. The workshop covered several key areas, including effective study strategies such as active learning, information chunking, and spaced repetition, in addition to practical techniques and exercises to overcome test anxiety. The workshop received positive feedback from the students, who expressed their appreciation for the practical tips and useful exercises that would aid them in excelling in their academic journey.
The workshop witnessed fruitful interaction from the participants, who shared their experiences with study strategies and their approaches to dealing with anxiety, expressing their appreciation for the practical advice and exercises provided.
