University of Science and Technology of Fujairah Organizes World Heart Day Event in Collaboration with Al Sharq Hospital

Fujairah, 26 September 2024 – In celebration of World Heart Day, the University of Science and Technology of Fujairah (USTF), in collaboration with Al Sharq Hospital, hosted an event aimed at raising awareness about heart health and preventive care. The event took place on Thursday, September 26, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM in the university’s conference hall.
The event was inaugurated with the esteemed presence of Professor Dr. Ali Aboulnour, Director of USTF, and Dr. Brian De Francesca, CEO of Al Sharq Healthcare Group. Also attending were Mr. Mundher Mazahreh, Public Relations Specialist at Fujairah National Group, and Ms. Ghanima Al Raqabani, Student Affairs Officer at USTF, alongside a wide audience of university members and students.
The World Heart Day program commenced with an informative lecture focusing on heart disease awareness, emphasizing the importance of heart health and early detection. This was followed by free health screenings, including blood sugar and blood pressure tests, available to all attendees. Additionally, medical consultations were provided by healthcare professionals from Al Sharq Hospital.
This initiative is part of USTF’s ongoing efforts to promote health and wellness among its students, staff, and faculty, in alignment with global health awareness campaigns.
