University of Science and Technology of Fujairah students visit Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services in Kalba to enhance cooperation and support people of determination

Students from the University of Science and Technology of Fujairah organized a field visit to the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services branch in Kalba on Tuesday 12/11/2024, to learn about the programs and services provided to people of determination and enhance cooperation with institutions that support special groups, as part of the university’s commitment to encouraging students to volunteer and serve the community.
The city’s work team welcomed the students warmly, introducing them to the most prominent activities and various programs offered by the city to support and rehabilitate people of determination, including education and vocational training, in addition to physical and psychological therapy services. The students participated in a comprehensive tour of the various facilities and interacted with the students affiliated with the city, which allowed them to closely understand the challenges facing people of determination and appreciate the efforts made to enhance their integration into society.
The university delegation also discussed future cooperation with the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services team and proposed ideas for launching joint volunteer initiatives aimed at supporting this group and enhancing community awareness about their issues and needs. At the end of the visit, Mr. Murhaf Amer, Coordinator of the Alumni, Career Counseling and Events Office, expressed his thanks and gratitude for this experience, saying: “It was an inspiring and influential visit, as we learned a lot about how to contribute to improving the lives of people of determination and supporting them, and we hope that this visit will be the beginning of a fruitful cooperation between the university and the Sharjah City for Humanitarian.” This visit comes as part of a series of community activities organized by the University of Science and Technology in Fujairah, affirming its commitment to promoting human values among its students and instilling the concept of social responsibility in them.
