USTF College of Law Lifts Football Tournament Cup
University of Science and Technology of Fujairah (USTF) saw on Wednesday evening the conclusion of the Collegiate Football Tournament with the College of Law winning the Cup after beating the College of Humanities and Sciences 2-0 in the final and decisive match.
The tournament, which started on 28 February, was organized this year for the first time since the disruption of field activities by the COVID-19 pandemic. The tournament marked another step on the way back to normality, which explains the positive response from USTF community with good attendance at all of the competitive matches between the six colleges of the university, including USTF students, faculty, and staff in addition to members of the external community.
In attendance at the final of the tournament was also Prof. Zein Elabdin Rizq, USTF Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, who presented the trophy to the winning team and medals to the runners up. Others who were also honored at the closing ceremony included the tournament referees, headed by Mohamed El Haddad, the football commentator Abdulla El Sahir, and USTF organizing committee, headed by Ramzy Gunaim, the sport activities supervisor.
Commenting on the organization and success of this competition, Prof. Ali Abou El Nour, USTF Chancellor, welcomed the return of this important annual event on USTF calendar as it contributes to the quality of student life in addition to fostering the spirit of fair play and discovering and encouraging new and promising football talents.
