Monday, Jan 27, 2025

The Department of Psychology at the College of Humanities and Sciences, University of Science and Technology of Fujairah (USTF), recently organized an engaging art workshop titled "Nature-Inspired Art" at the Fujairah School of Calligraphy and Ornamentation. The workshop aimed to encourage students to explore their creative talents, express themselves through art, and deepen their connection with nature and its impact on their emotions and behavior.

The Fujairah School of Calligraphy and Ornamentation, renowned for its inspiring artistic environment, served as the venue for this workshop. The school is dedicated to reviving traditional art forms such as Arabic calligraphy and ornamentation, which hold significant cultural and historical value within Islamic heritage.

The workshop highlighted the profound relationship between humans and nature, emphasizing how art — particularly drawing and coloring — can serve as a powerful medium for self-expression and creative growth.

Students actively participated in the interactive and stimulating environment, seizing the opportunity to engage in drawing and painting activities. Many participants expressed their enjoyment of the experience, which helped refine their artistic skills and enhanced their creative abilities.

This initiative is part of the Psychology Department's ongoing efforts to provide diverse cultural and artistic activities that contribute to the personal development of students and broaden their horizons.
