Visit for the law college students to the Public Prosecution at the Fujairah Court

The College of Law at the University of Science and Technology in Fujairah organized on Wednesday 9/3/2022 a field visit for the college students to the Public Prosecution at the Fujairah Court under the supervision of Dr. Ameen Abdo Mohammed Dahmash, associate professor of criminal law at the college, and this visit aims to link the theoretical study to practical reality and to identify the rules of the criminal proceedings and investigate them from the public prosecutor in criminal cases, The students were greeted by the Counselor Saeed Khalfan Al-Dhabahi, Attorney General of the College Public Prosecution, who explained many of the procedural rules related to the investigation of the criminal case in crimes, whether they are misdemeanors or felonies that the Public Prosecution takes after referring the file of the criminal case from the judicial police, showing how the interrogation of the accused and deciding whether the matter requires his release or pretrial detention pending investigation and within the time limit granted by law to the Public Prosecution, and investigation procedures in other evidence He briefed the students on the difficulties facing the investigator and how to overcoming it, and the importance of preserving the crime scene from tampering, as in many of the cases he faced in his work investigating criminal cases, the crime scene and the material effects of the offender are the reliable procedure for convicting or acquitting the accused, particularly when no further evidence is available. He noted that the role of the prosecutor was not limited to the impunity of the perpetrator, but also to protect the innocent and support the oppressed, and that decision-making in some important cases needed to be consulted and presented to the Technical Office of the Attorney-General for polling.
