Visit of students of the Department of Sociology and Social Work - College of Humanities and Sciences to the Federal Youth Authority
As part of its continuous effort to consolidate its relations with governmental and private community institutions and to enhance communication with partners to achieve its societal responsibility and within the framework of the policy pursued by the University of Science and technology in Fujairah and its own vision and interaction with the community and to provide students with experience and knowledge through direct contact and linking the theoretical aspect to the field reality, Students of the Department of sociology and social work studying the social work course in the field of youth welfare under the supervision of Dr/ Asmaa Ahmed made a virtual visit to the federal youth Authority on Tuesday the 2nd of March 2021 where the visit aimed to educate students about the services and initiatives provided by the federal Authority for youth.
Both Mr Rashid Al- shamcey the head of the existing initiatives Department at the Federal Youth Authority and Mr ayoub Ibrahim director of projects at the Authority presented an overview of the most important initiatives , programs, and activities provided by the Federal Youth Authority after which the discussion and response to students' inquiries was open. Mr Jassim Al obeidli accompanied the students in a virtual tour of the institution.
At the end of the meeting Dr. Asmaa Ahmed the supervisor of the visit gave a speech in which she thanked the work team responsible for carrying out the visit and emphasized the importance of the Federal Youth Authority's role through its preventive, remedial and developmental efforts for young people as they need a lot of knowledge, experience and skills to plan for their future and to raise the level of awareness and help them overcome any problems that may hinder their psychological and social compatibility.
