Diploma of Arts in Family Sciences

Program Objectives

  • Introducing the student to the basic psychological, social, educational, and legal principles of motherhood, child upbringing, and family care.
  • Equipping the student with essential practical skills in child upbringing and care.
  • Providing the student with practical skills to manage her family in terms of social, health, nutritional, and economic aspects.
  • Equipping the student with the necessary knowledge and skills to contribute to the preparation and implementation of social guidance programs in the field of motherhood, childhood, and family affairs.
  • Developing positive attitudes in the student towards scientific research and using its results to diagnose contemporary problems and challenges faced by the family and to develop practical solutions.

Program Outcomes

After completing the Diploma Program in Motherhood and Family Sciences – General Track, the student is expected to be able to:

  • Explain and interpret the basic principles of motherhood, child upbringing, and family care in a way that preserves family cohesion according to legal and social norms.
  • Apply practical skills in managing her family in social, health, nutritional, and economic aspects.
  • Apply practical skills in child upbringing and care.
  • Adhere to ethical standards and professional norms in the performance of tasks related to family matters and child care.
  • Contribute positively to the completion of guidance projects related to family matters and child care in a precise and distinguished manner within guidance teams.
  • Develop and acquire practical solutions related to family affairs and child upbringing and care in cultural, health, and nutritional contexts.
