The Bachelor of Arts in Family Sciences, specializing in - Human Rights.

Program Objectives

The Human Rights specialization plan aims to prepare a scientifically and practically qualified individual to perform their role in respecting, applying, and defending human rights, as follows:

  • Introduce students to human rights, women's rights, and the rights of vulnerable groups in human society.
  • Apply human rights rules and principles in the home, family, and society. Provide qualified human resources scientifically and practically to defend these rights.
  • Promote and encourage scientific research in various fields of human rights.
  • Provide a suitable scientific foundation for students to pursue graduate studies in the field of human rights.
  • Prepare qualified cadres to work in departments concerned with human rights.

Program Outcomes

Upon completing the Bachelor's degree program in Family Sciences – Human Rights Path, students are expected to:

  • Clarify some human rights, women's rights, and children's rights in international and local legislation.
  • Identify the challenges facing humans in Gulf, Arab, and global societies and how to confront them.
  • Explain international concepts related to human rights and procedures for claiming these rights.
  • Contribute to conferences and seminars with the knowledge gained from this program.
  • Communicate with institutions and bodies related to human rights.

Practice intervention skills to resolve conflicts caused by human rights violations.
